Wow. The movies in this town cost more than where I from. I guess a lot of things are different here then again I did move to the other side of the country.
Jun was excited to hear about a cool movie theater in the town. It made it feel less foreign and alien to him. The only unease he felt was the circumstances of the opportunity. Kory was a really cool girl. She was smart, pretty, and fun to be around. Kory had a great sense of humor and shared similar tastes to Jun. Not sure Jun would make a social mistake such as assuming that Kory liked him and was not just being nice made Jun feel like a pretzel of what-ifs.
Jun really did not want to look like an idiot or come off being a jerk so rather than think about it too much he tried to calm down and relax. That lasted a few moments until Jun realize how much the tickets cost. Jun lived outside of the metro area and did not go downtown to watch movies where he used to live. Tickets were fairly reasonable. Presuming that tickets would be similarly priced, Jun's mom gave him what was supposed to be a good amount to see the city and hang out. Jun was not anticipating going to the movies and was not prepared to pay.
Jun then saw some of the other students from school and then began to get worried he would look bad if he did not act like a super gentlemen and open the doors, pay for the tickets, and pay for the movie tickets. Wondering this, Jun looked to his side to see what Kory was thinking as they were looking at movie posters and she did not look thrilled. Kory looked annoyed. It was a look Jun had never seen on her before. Normally, Kory was so friendly and happy, Jun did not think Kory was capable of being angry or sad. Stupid if you think about it, of course everyone gets like that way from time to time. Some people more than others for sure, but everyone got a little bit sad, anxious, or angry depending on the situation, environment, etc.
Jun thought about saying something but was not sure what to do. That was when Nadia one of their classmates from lab walked up with some of their fellow classmates from Economics 4th period.
Hey Jun. Hey Kory. What's up? We did not know you were going to catch a movie too. Well, ours is going to start in a minute. Cool of you offering to pay Jun. Later.
