What is she going to think of me!? What will people say?! I am so embarassed! Aaaaaah!
Jun was outwardly stoic. He pretended to check out movie posters but inside his head it was like a mental free for all. Jun's imagination went wild. Nadia was ragging him for being a huge dork. Nadia chided Jun for assuming that Kory wanted to go on a date and that she would ever be interested in him. Nadia then criticized Jun's shaggy hair and baggy clothes as not suitable for date night either. Huffing and puffing, Nadia was irritable with Jun for being so socially awkward and unable to figure out what people meant with how they said things and the subtle cues they give with expressions and so on.
Ward, a drummer in a local band, was also there as well. Although he did not look it, Ward was really good in chemistry and physics. Ward just did not care for english and economics. They were just boring and not to the point. Kind of like Jun in Ward's opinion. Ward then proceeded to remind Jun that he had studying to do for an upcoming exam and that he better put some work into it. Ward was able to whiz through homework so he could concentrate on his band without worrying about tests. Othewise, how would he ever have a chance to play? Ward then disappeared in a puff of smoke just as he commented on Jun not having enough money to pay for movie tickets. Rock on! was what Jun thought Ward said.
A few more classmates walke by at lightspeed dropping unfavorable commentary on Jun and his bum behavior. Jun thought one of them said a few things worth not repeating and not a good idea to say in front of a teacher. Oh, his mom would wash his mouth out with soap.
Jun then saw Kory shaking her head. Kory seemed to be saying without saying anything that they were done before they even started. What did I ever see in you was what Jun thought she was saying as she turned and walked away.
Aaaah! Why is this happening to me thought Jun.
