It is okay. I came prepared. I love the movies. My family gets tickets from time to time and my father does not mind
if my friends and I use them for social and get togethers. Are you listening to me? Hello? Hel-lo?
Jun? Jun? Kory asked Jun if he was listening when Jun turned and was prepared for an earful. Holding a pair of tickets, Kory then explained that her father did a lot of charity work and rewards programs that gave him free perks. Kory's dad usually shared these gifts with her. A frequent perk was movie tickets or book store gift cards. Kory's dad had told her that school was her job and he wanted her to concentrate on that and not divide attention by getting a part time job while in high school. Kory wanted to work but she saw her dad's point.
Kory smiled and explained that they both spent some money in town today and the ticket vouchers were her treat compliments of her father. It was a good thing since they had gone to the game shop and the pizza eatery. Kory then went on further to say she would not have suggested the movies if she did not have tickets.
Jun was relieved that he did not have to actually experience the social embarassment that he thought was coming for him. It was a huge burden off of his shoulders. Jun did not want to look like a fool, especially not in front of Kory. Jun was excited and ready for the next phase of this awesome day.
As they proceeded into the theater, an attendant smiled and watched as the tickets were scanned by a terminal reader and stamped. Inside there was a great assortment of snacks, drinks, and some really good looking dinner fare. Jun felt really at home and was so thankful that Kory had invited him.
As they got near their theater door, Kory then mentioned that it would be cool if next time that they check out the eatery and get some sliders or some steak or chicken quesadillas. The food looked so good that Kory would love to try these or the new items on the menu. That was when Jun had another light speed episode in his head before smiling, playing it cool, and walking into the theater.
