Well, this is not exactly what we were planning tonight. 

Adriana squealed in delight when her Mommy started going through the list of shows she really loved. Giant robots, goofy and smelly robots, space pirates, mouse detectives, animals that lived like people in willow trees, miniature humans living in the wall, and magical creatures like unicorns were ready and waiting to journey forth on the television. Adriana could not wait. She pointed to one of them and described her favorite scene. Repeat for the next one. And the next one. Continue.

Adriana settled on a version of Thumbelina. She was so happy and seemed so at ease as she settled in to watch one of her favorite movies. It just felt right as she enjoyed a really good family memory even though her parents were hoping were expecting an evening to themselves. Even so, the parents loved their baby girl and got comfortable to enjoy each other's company while watching a zany, silly, and cute film.
